Cytomid 250 mg is an anti-androgen drug which is used to treat prostate cancer in combination with other medications. It is not made for use in women. Flutamide is sold under several trade names, some of which are Drogenil, Cytomid (manufactured by Cipla). Cytomid 250 mg functions by hindering the antigen activity in the prostate gland in men, which inhibits tumor growth and also shrinks the tumor. Cytomid 250 mg is an anti-androgen. It works by interfering with antigen activity in the prostate, which stops tumor growth and allows the tumor to shrink.
